For those that like mountain walking, you will be spoilt for choice, with the Skirrid and Sugar Loaf within 13 miles and offering incredible 360-degree views. There are many picturesque river walks and trails through the forest and along the River Wye. For families, the area is teeming with things to do, from ancient castles to more modern history at Big Pit, Blaenavon (16 miles) and The Brecon Mountain Railway (27 miles).
