Positive: We didn't realise we were booked on an island! The ferry service was good but you need to book ahead as it's not a huge beast. There are three or four crossings daily and they are weather dependent but luckily we had good weather during our stay. The property is easy to spot as there's only one road from the ferry and you see it on the right before you get to the first junction. Parking is easy and there's a charging point for electric/hybrids. The property is spacious and light with stunning views wherever you look. It's warm and very clean. There's a local shop on the island and a cafe but you really do need to stock up on your stay before getting to the island. There's also the impressive sailean project which is well worth a visit. We went back to the mainland after a couple of days to get more supplies which was so worth it as the views are breathtaking. There are lots of fantastic walks on the island and the locals are lovely. The manager, Dave, was a lovely, helpful man. A memorable visit.

Negative: There are no laundry facilities and we were soaked through on the penultimate day but we couldn't dry our belongings so they were bundled, sopping, into the suitcase for the long trip home on the next day. If we'd soaked ourselves earlier in the vacation we'd be stuck indoors for the duration. Also, and i remember this from my youth in Scotland, we had wet towels for the week as there isn't a heated towel rail. I'd also get rid of the freezer and replace it with a dishwasher.
