The space
In a elevated position above Kippford, Ravenhill Mews boasts some incredible views across the surrounding countryside and beyond.
Park directly outside the house and you can enter through the large conservatory purpose built to take full advantage of the vista.
Leading from the conservatory is a spacious open plan sitting & kitchen area. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for social meal preparation, here is where you will also find a cloakroom for convenience.
Move through the downstairs hallway to Bedroom 1, a good size room with King bed and dedicated patio doors. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite shower room and plenty of storage for your personal belongings.
Climb the stairs and you will find a large 'through room' with sloping ceiling and brimming with character, this space houses an additional day bed (the property can sleep 5) and at the far end a dedicated work space with desk and chair, there are double opening doors which again make the most of the stunning views.
Here you will also find Bedroom 2, again, a good size double bedroom with plenty of storage, this bedroom benefits from the bathroom right next door which has a good size shower and beautiful feature basin.
Kippford is a beautiful and picturesque village which is often visited by the local people of Dumfries & Galloway itself. A popular sailing village, small yachts are often moored in the estuary and the Solway Yacht Club often holds sailing events.
Known as the 'Solway Riviera' it boasts some of the most expensive properties in the region!
There are fantastic coastal and forest walking opportunities with the Kippford to Rockcliffe round trip taking around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers incredible views.
For Golfers there is Craigieknowes Golf Course, a scenic 9 hole, par 3 course only minutes from the house, this is a surprisingly testing warm up course for experienced golfers, whilst remaining accessible and welcoming to beginners.
In addition the championship grade links course at Southerness is only 20 minutes away.
Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s paradise. You can Ride the Coast, Ride the Uplands, Ride the South Coast 200 or choose Day Rides.
Dalbeattie Forest is one of the 7stanes cycling trails and in all there are over 17km of cycling trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandyhills and Kippford.
Kippford has two fantastic restaurants at local hotels The Mariner & The Anchor which offer a wide menu from traditional pub food to seafood specials.
