Just 1 mile further, at Waterhead Pier, hire a boat or hop on a steamer for a cruise of Lake Windermere. Within 20 miles you can visit the market town of Kendal, Sizergh Castle and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, admire numerous waterfalls and even climb Scafell Pike.
