This handsome property is located in the Cornish countryside and is just 1.5 miles from the large sandy beach at Widemouth Bay which is the perfect location for all kinds of beach activities, whether you want to relax or trying something a bit more exhilarating. The surf conditions are well-known here and there is a surf school as well as some board hire shops. Just a few miles north of the property is the popular seaside town of Bude which offers a choice of beaches as well as shops, restaurants, and bars. There is also a lovely tidal pool here which makes a safe place for swimmers and is free of charge. Further afield, the ancient town of Tintagel with its fascinating connections to King Arthur and his Knights of The Round Table is less than a 30-minute drive away.
This large family property was once a working farmhouse and retains many of the original period features, which make it the perfect place for a special family holiday. There is plenty of space for everyone here, with a large lounge with feature fireplace, where you can cosy up in front of the wood burner and watch a show on the Smart TV. A second lounge area can be found in the ‘snug’ room, which has an electric fire, TV/ DVD. The property’s kitchen/diner also retains some of those attractive original features, including a large feature fireplace with feature Aga. But there is also everything the modern cook will need, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The property’s four bedrooms comprise two doubles, each with en-suite shower room and WC, a twin room and a king-size with zip-and-link beds which can be made up as a twin on request. The main bathroom features a roll-top bath with hand-held shower and WC. The house’s major draw is the addition of a private indoor swimming pool which has an integrated hot tub.
Outside the property there is a pretty enclosed garden with barbecue and outdoor furniture, and guests are also welcome to explore the grounds around the property where there are a range of amenities including indoor tennis court, woodland walks, kite flying field and fishing.
