A 2-mile walk along the sandy shoreline brings you to neighbouring Bamburgh, known for its magnificent, 1,400-year-old castle perched on the edge of the cliff. There are some fantastic day trips to enjoy from Seahouses, including to the wild and rugged Holy Island of Lindisfarne (20 miles) and the picturesque market town of Alnwick (15 miles). For keen walkers, the long-distance Northumberland Coast Path passes through Seahouses.
