Explore the Llangloffan Fen National Nature Reserve on your doorstep, and enjoy the calm of the countryside with a walk to Abermawr Beach (2.5 miles), where low tide exposes golden sand and the remains of a forest that drowned beneath a melting ice sheet some 8,000 years ago. Stop en route for refreshments and to watch weavers at work at Melin Tregwynt woollen mill. If you’d like to explore further afield, Fishguard is 5.5 miles away and St Davids – famous for its landmark cathedral – is 11 miles.
Driveway parking for two cars means you can unpack at your own pace – step inside and the striking sitting room has a choice of comfortable seating arranged before the TV and wood burner. A window seat and bookcases add character; you’ll find more reading matter, children’s toys, another window seat and some beautiful antique furniture in the adjacent dining room. Contemporary country styling accentuates the feature fireplace in the kitchen, which contains everything required to make light work of your self-catering stay.
