Head to Talkin Tarn Country Park (2.5 miles) for water sports and fishing at the lake or plan a more bustling day out with a trip to the city of Carlisle (9.5 miles). Plenty of local history awaits, with Hadrian’s Wall passing nearby – visit the Roman Army Museum or Great Chesters Fort (both within 13.5 miles).
