There is an abundance of fishing, bird watching, exotic gardens, rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to explore along the Machars Peninsula. The towns of Castle Douglas, Scotland’s food town and Kirkcudbright, ‘the artist’s town’, with shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants are all within easy reach. Beach 8¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
