This cliff top village is in a stunning location and overlooks a natural harbour on the Moray Firth coast. From here rugged cliffs can be explored along with coves and beaches, and discover the local landmark of Bow Fiddle rock. The area is a magnet for birdwatchers, with colonies of seabirds making the cliffs their home and providing a magnificent spectacle for ornithology enthusiasts. Offshore, dolphins and seals are a regular sight in this area. Portknockie has a variety of shops, including a general food store, public house, butcher's shop and more besides. Beneath a dramatic setting of a railway viaduct is the town of Cullen, which is famous for it's fish soup, known as "Cullen Skink" a delicious smoked haddock and potato dish.
